In past a country’s recognition used to be its hospitality , its toursim, its food which still are , but a huge addition in the list has beem the country's cinema or the content that is produced in that country. The developed countries today try to make movies and promote content that portray a positove image of their country and people. The promotion of any culture or image building of any nation can not be done without cinema playing its part in it.

Cinema is the most important thing to represent their ideas but in Pakistan there are only few cinemas.

Pakistan has Lots of content to make good movies but we are too inspired by Bollywood, we only try to copy them. And that’s why Pakistani cinema has not been able to produce good content in the past decades.  

The content made in Pakistan seems like a cheap copy of Indian movies. We have a lot of good talented filmmakers but the problem is we still live in the past. There is no doubt that we have enormous talent in our country. But the problem is we do not give them a chance to prove themselves.

Lets do a quick comparasion of Bollywood and Lollywood.  

Bollywood movies have a lot of songs and now lollywood are doing the same. Bollywood movies are glamour based mostly, a physically appealing heroin and a six pack hero is mandatory for a bollywood masal movie and lollywood is trying to copy that trend as well , every lollywood movie has an item song andale leads who have good bodies.

As we know Pakistani industry stopped making films and cinemas remained empty for so long  but then finally it revived itself with movies like "khuda k liye’.  Khuda Kay Liye was released on 20 July 2007 in Pakistan and on 4 April 2008 in India, as well as the screenings at various international film festivals. The release of the film was historic for two reasons: it was the first Pakistani film to be released in India in almost half a century, and secondly it was the first ever Pakistani film to be included in the official selection of the International Film Festival of India .

After this ‘BOL’. Bol was a movie which made in Lahore Pakistan. And it was super hit because of its story,actors, songs, theme, location everything was representing Pakistan and its culture. Pakistani people started taking interest in lollywood movies and they wanted more. And once again lollywood made a movie ‘WAAR’ and people were so happy to watch that movie. But after these three amazing movies lollywood make JPNa, Lahore sy agey and many more these movies did  not look like a movie and the audience were disappointed. Because jawani phir nhi ani copied the name from Bollywood movie ye jawani ha dewani and people’s expections were so high but after watching this movie viewers  wanted to watch bollywood movies because after jawani phir Nahi ani lollywood makes a lot of movies and movies which have nothing only running and weak storyline..

             

As we all know lollywood never offers  a chance to a new talented actors in movies like bilal Abbas khan, Imran ashraf and so many more. They always select old famous stars and think movie will be hit because of stars. They have no trust in new talented actors. Even though they prove themselves in dramas Bollywood always select actors in their movies which have power, looks and most important their acting skills like recently ayushman khurana’s all movies are famous and earn a lot of money even he’s new in Bollywood and not belong to a film industry’s family.

 DIRECTORS/ PRODUCERS

In lollywood hardly 5 directors/ producer who make movies and these directors/ producer make dramas at the same time which clearly shows in their movies how much he worked in this big screen movie.. they are sometimes shows what they already shown in their dramas before some actors are also playing role in dramas as well as films which lowers the value of Filmstar, their remains no difference in films and dramas as they are produced and directed by same producers. And  even actors are  seen in both    And Bollywood have a lot of directors/producers who work in movies and dramas directors/producers are different.

 STORY LINE

Before making film lollywood have to think a lot of time because their movies have same

Weak dialogues and storyline. Bollywood comes every time with a strong and new story and good dialogues which makes Bollywood movies better.

 SONGS

A lot of Pakistani songs also have been ‘’inspired’’ by Bollywood musicians in a way that even the lyrics are even not changed

For example the recently released song of Pakistani movie Superstar Dharak dharak is carbon copy of the song “tattar tattar” from the movie RamLeela. Specially the costumes , the dance and the music too.

                           

 DANCE

The latest trend of item songs is taking up the Pakistani media by storm. We see so many movies trying to forcefully ‘ sell themeselves’ to the general audience in hopes of making big profits. Lollywood movies will be hit without item songs and dance if there Story will be good.

 CUTLURE AND BEAUTY

Bollywood shows diverse culture in their movies by representing making gujrati and represent gujrati culture some are making Telugu and represent telugu culture etc. Bollywood films shows the strength of their country just like police officers and something they give  a message and shows that India have these things and promote their country and good hearted people Lollywood always have same story and weak dialogues movie they need to make something new first of all they really need to select new and talented actors they have to work on their content which gives some message to us to their country otherwise all movies looked same lollywood needs to make movies which they represent their culture their generosity their beautiful sides of Pakistan but lollywood always shows punjabi culture and represent their colours, accent Iike Chalawa, Punjab nhi jaogi, Lahore sy agy, Karachi sy Lahore,  because punjabi have a lot of colours in their culture so lollywood shows punjabi things in their movies and punjabi appreciate such movies too. In this sense one can assume that lollywood movies are culturally bound and not diverse.

GLAMOUR                    (BAAJI – MEERA Only first character with cap)

Lollywood only focus in glamour rather than story. recently BAAJI movie MEERA’s  dressing looked like bollywoood dressing. movie ‘superstar’ and ‘BAJJI’ films looks like they have nothing but glamour. lollywood is inspired by Bollywood and their style and clothes as we live in a country like Pakistan we have some limits to wear any clothes because we represent Pakistan in big screen and people inspired from their clothes but we copied/ inspired Bollywood we think it’s cool or great to wear these types of dresses and they focused in glamour rather than story even though everyone knows lollywood movies have not that much budget but still they waste half of their money in clothes..

In lollywood every actor is a singer, designer have salons. But in Bollywood their stars are the hero like shahrukh khan, Salman Khan they don’t work in a series they don’t work in dramas they don’t have their any sort of things like Pakistan’s star have so they only focuses in their actings.            

They need to improve their quality not quantity and they have to portray the best in the big screen the colors the cinematic the choreographer,  the actors ,and the main thing which attracts the most is the movie name which they have to work on that and make sensible story line and choose actors who have good acting skills not a actor who are just famous and looks good. Their budget of the movie is not powerful as Bollywood have but they can still produce quality content and portray a better image of Pakistan.
