Digital marketing is still growing in the world day by day through the headline global marketing index.
Yesterday, when I was coming back from university, I saw a billboard of a shoe brand it was a good casual shoes. So, I decided to buy it from any nearby outlet but at the same time I was confused if the shoes were in my budget or not. So, before buying it, I thought of searching it online and at last I came to know that it was in my budget. Here we are going to know more about digital marketing. 
Traditional marketing is about placing advertisements in places where your audience will have no chance of missing it because all printed and only sending messages like newspapers, TV, radio and billboards are all forms of traditional marketing. It is very hard to find out targeted audiences on traditional media.  Digital marketing is a bit different. It is introduced for use of digital channels and markets to consumers. It’s important to understand how they differ in terms of strategy. It finds out targeted audience and also gets large number of audience with personalised information. It is fast and efficient for brand building. The idea is to put your brand at the top of mind of whoever sees your ads. 
Digital marketing helps brands reach consumers to engage with their product or service in a personalised way. It shows details about product. It is a way to connect people to right place at right time. It improves business level with the source of search engines, social media, email and other websites. It aware people from high and low brands. It promotes products and services through electronic medium like internet, emails marketing, social media sites and mobile applications. Digital marketing is also referred to as online marketing, internet marketing and web marketing.
The internet indicates a wider scope of digital marketing. As people prefer to check products online instead of visiting shops physically, it is crystal clear that digital marketing campaigns are becoming more prevalent and efficient. From Billboard to website, I wonder how easy it is now to check something at your home without going anywhere and how many of others will be doing this too.
Digital marketing's development from the 1990 and 2000s has changed the way of services of brands and businesses use technology for marketing. The digital age took off with the coming of internet and web platforms which allowed consumers to find the information they wanted.
 Digital platforms are increasingly incorporated into marketing plans and everyday life and now mobile devices are coming to the forefront when it comes to marketing, application development, and overall customer experience attention. This will allow companies to develop specialised marketing strategies aimed specifically at the mobile market.
Now the question arise that why is digital marketing important? Digital marketing is so penetrative that consumers have access to information any time and any place they want it. Marketer needs a digital marketing edge. Digital marketing knowledge is essential to climb up to ladder. People used to get a specific message about any product or service from the companies and organisations as people now search online and get each and every detail about that product or service. Digital marketing has become essential part of everyone's life. From personal use to professional use digital marketing is playgrounds for consumers to keep themselves updated as well as for dealer to connect with potential clients who will help their business grow.
